Investor readiness checklist

Ten things to have in place before you start conversations with investors — the same areas EVAIQ helps founders prepare.

A good technology product also needs a strong story, roadmap and execution plan. Use this checklist to see where you stand before you start fundraising conversations.

The product and the technology

  • Product & technology roadmap — what you'll build next, in what order, and why.
  • MVP & development plan — what exists today, what's in progress, and what it takes to finish it.
  • Technology architecture documentation — how the system is built, so a technical reviewer can assess it quickly.

The story and the numbers

  • Business / product presentation — a clear deck that explains the problem, the product, the market and the team.
  • Investment readiness — your company, cap table and key documents are organised and easy to share.
  • Financial & technology planning — costs, revenue assumptions and the technology spend behind them.
  • Fund utilisation plan — how the money you raise will be used, and which milestones it gets you to.

The process

  • Investor communication — a consistent way to share updates, answer questions and follow up.
  • Strategic network access — a list of the right investors and the warm introductions you can reach.
  • Fundraising strategy — how much to raise, from whom, on what timeline.

Missing a few? That's normal. EVAIQ helps founders prepare across all of these areas and, where appropriate, can facilitate introductions to relevant investors. Talk to us.
